J.C.S has done all our contracting for years, beginning with a bathroom remodel- bathtub installation and tile work. Later, we had them do a new roof and most recently, a new deck. We have always had an open line of communication with them- questions and concerns have always been addressed promptly and clearly. We didn’t always know what we wanted and they seemed to have creative options available coordinated with costs. Our projects were completed when they said they would be, and as specified. We are pleased with what we have contracted them for. We value the relationship and will use them for future renovation for sure.

My husband and I met John in 2020 when we were interested in purchasing a fixer upper and having extensive renovations done through an FHA 203k loan. John was a pleasure to work with - he gave us a thorough estimate, was patient throughout the process, and looked out for us along the way. He is knowledgable and his craftsmanship is unmatched. Our project consisted of essentially gutting the entire first floor, reconfiguring the layout, preserving/relocating architectural features of the 1930s home, new windows, electrical, and much more. John and his crew were neat and a pleasure to work with. We have since worked with John on a full upstairs bathroom remodel with addition of an entirely new bathroom. The end product is phenomenal and we have always felt that we were working with a true expert. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

Five years ago, my wife and I assumed ownership of a lake house 20 miles east of Scranton, PA, that had been in my family for decades. It was a charming little cabin, built in the early '70, filled with memories of weekend fun. However, the old place was sadly outdated and in need of repair. We interviewed more than a half dozen contractors to update the bathrooms and kitchens. In January 2018, we hired John and his team on the recommendation of a neighbor, an engineer, who was impressed with the craftsmanship of John and his team. We were so happy with the work on the kitchen and bathrooms, we immediately hired them to replace the Brady Bunch-style '70s paneling on the walls, and replace it with wainscotting. They also renovated the walls in the bedrooms. The place never looked better. They finished that project in June by redoing the wood flooring and cathedral ceiling. The following spring, in 2019, we began another project with JCS. We redid the basement, replacing the 20-year-old water heater with a tankless system, adding porcelain tiling on the floor and reinforced the foundation. We also turned part of the garage into a bonus room. Obviously, we wouldn't have a continuing relationship with JCS if we didn't have the upmost respect and trust in them. These days, if something major might break or we need something done, my wife will just say, "Call John," as in John from JCS.

I had a very old roof and few leaks. I called to J.C.S. Building & Remodeling. John explained me the whole process, gave me a good warranty and a fair price. This company is not only worthy of your business, the owner is unbelievable. He keeps in constant contact with his customers, he is easy to talk too, he is also present on the job watching every move his men make. He made sure everything was clean before he left and was very professional. I truly recommend this company. I found five roofers , John Krucar was by far the best. If you need somebody to replace your roof please give him a call, you will be extremely pleased at the end of the day.
